A specialist stone-care division built around one method and one standard.
The Prestige Standard Surface Care is the specialist stone division of The Prestige Standard, an exterior cleaning business based in Double Bay.
We set this division up because sandstone and travertine kept arriving damaged by the wrong kind of clean: sandstone furred and striped by high pressure, travertine etched by acid, and both sealed under coatings that peel. These stones need a different approach and a narrower set of skills, so we built a team and a method around them.
How we work
Every job is carried out by vetted, insured technicians who follow one written method: identify the stone, test first, use the gentlest method that works, capture the run-off, and seal only dry stone with a breathable sealer. Our technicians are trained to that standard before they work under our name, and each job is checked against it.
What we don't do
We don't acid-wash travertine or limestone, we don't high-pressure clean sandstone, and we don't apply glossy film-forming coatings to outdoor stone. If a job needs a stonemason, a structural engineer or a licensed builder, we'll say so.
